Gollum came to Younts Insurance in 2004 as a wee kitten. He was only 4 weeks old and had to be bottlefed as his mother had been hit by a car and his other litter mates had failed to survive birth. Gollum weighed in at about one pound and needed some extra care... so he was named Younts Insurance's mascot. Gollum's name came from the movie, Lord of the Rings. His poor little face was smashed in, like the character from the movie. We only thought we could name him that for awhile, until he grew into his face and then we could change it... however, "Gollum" stuck. It's the only thing he answers to. His nicknames are GG and G-man.
Gollum has exhausted 8 of his 9 lives by falling in a wax bucket and learning to open the door of our old office and being attacked by two wild dogs. The latter left him partially blind and epileptic.
Gollum knows that he is the BOSS! He has all of his people wrapped around his paw! Just ask him!
